In order to be able to have everyone come to Thanksgiving, we celebrated Thanksgiving and Ken's birthday at the same time. It was great fun, great food, and great company! We all had a good time.

I would like to thank my husband and my children for a FABULOUS MOTHER'S DAY!
Mandi made us dinner.....and it was DELICIOUS!!! Mandi and Jenilyn also gave me a beautiful plaque last Sunday (Jenilyn is on a cruise right now.....hope you have a marvelous time!)

I know that Shane doesn't like having his birthday on Mother's Day but he was born the day before Mother's Day and to me that was very special. HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHANE!!!! He also came over to celebrate (ha, ha I caught him smiling!).

What darling grandkids.....how's your ear Eli.....I hope you are okay from your fall!

Ken and I shared a rice bowl at Rumbi's on Saturday night and then he took me miniature golfing.....WOW....IT was SO wonderful!!!!! Thank you!!!!!

THEN....I would like to thank Tiffany and Brett! They took us out to eat Friday night and then we played games and had a BLAST!!!! Then.... even when they were going to Brett's Mom's for Mother's Day, they went to the trouble to actually come down long enough to say Happy Mother's Day and stay for just a couple of minutes and then they ran all the way back for their next appointment.
Thank you everyone for such and wonderful day.....It really is a PAY DAY when your children let you know that they love you!

The second batch looked very good.....this is in the rising stage....but it didn't hold together very well.
Waaahhhh..... But it wasn't sour!

BUT....take a look at THIS!!!! Whoopie!!!! It turned out PERFECT! It looks good, it tastes great AND the texture is wonderful. I wonder if I can do it again? HMMMMMM......

Exciting things...

I have been trying to make whole wheat sour dough bread......I finally got it to raise! That's a start at least. It does make killer pancakes though.

Also.....I planted some starts in the house for a garden.....I don't have a green thumb but I would like to.

We got to play with Eli and Paige for a few hours.....it was great fun!!! I wish we had our camera with us when we were going down the slippery slides.

And....I also got to visit with my friends Marion and Jolene......what FUN!!!

BUT......not so cool.....I asked the hair stylist to cut ONE inch off and she took the privilege of cutting off about 3 instead.....AAAHHHHGGGGGGG!!!!! Oh well.....it will take about 6 months to get it back where I like it again. By the time I get done experimenting how I can make it look good it will be grown out (what's a girl to do?)

Two Great Days!!!

We had two of the best days...
Saturday we had tickets to the Draper Open House. After many calls, this is the group that wanted to go. We played games, had a luncheon and went to the Open House - what a great time. The company was fabulous and the Temple was exquisite.

Then.....
On Sunday night....
The children and grandchildren came over and we had a BLAST! We also played games, had a little dessert, opened cards and sang Happy Birthday to Kelly and Paige!
We can't wait to do it again!!!

We were ushers at the Open House for the new Draper Temple....what a great experience!!!

Long time - No Write!

BUT...a lot of things have been going on....

We moved from Tremonton to Sandy....

We had 2 great Thanksgivings!
One with the kids (I can't find my pictures....hummm)
And one with my Mom, Dad and some of my brothers, sisters and their children....

We had a fabulous Christmas!!!!

And....we celebrated my Dad's 82nd birthday!!!

This Past Week.....

Wow....I had a great week! I got to tend Mandi,....

because she had her nose operated on, which means I also got to tend....

from Monday-Thursday! Jon is Superman and when he's home he can take care of everybody! And then......

On Tuesday night - SURPRISE! Tiffany, Brett and Kelly came over so we could ALL have a birthday party (for ME)! We missed Kyle and Jenilyn - Jenilyn had to work - but they sent the funniest card (plus a fun little something inside!). We missed Shane too but he came for a couple of minutes the next night and gave me a very lovely card (also with a nice little something inside)!

Thank you to all of my children!!! I'm grateful for YOU!

Mandi wants to know what we are all thankful for so......since my birthday, lots of times, is on General Conference and this year it was on Saturday's Conference, I want to publicly say that I am thankful for our Modern day Prophet, Thomas S. Monson...

I'm SO grateful for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because it does make it possible for families to be together FOREVER!!! And that's what I'm MOST thankful for Today!

1. I, like Mandi, do not like Utah drivers! They would rather kill you than slow down to the speed limit or always try to get ahead of the other guy, weaving in and out etc.

Getting together with our children and grandchildren is one of the highlights of our lives. We were able to celebrate Tiffany and Jenilyn's birthdays at Mandi and Jon's new home. Mandi did a great job organizing everything - games and food - and it was a GREAT time for all! Thanks Mandi and Jon!

Memorable Memorial Weekend

Friday night we spent with Tiffany and Brett. We didn't get very much time with them but we played a few games on the Wii and had a ball.

We had a great Saturday with Mandi, Jon, Eli and Paige. We went bowling then out to lunch. Lunch was our Mother and Father's Day gifts - it was sure good! Thanks a bunch for all the fun.

We visited several gravesites and took pictures, and of course ran a lot of errands since we were in Salt Lake.

We hope you all have a great Memorial Day weekend. And we especially hope Kyle and Jenilyn have a fabulous time in Disneyland!
